Born on an orchard after struggling through her first harvest, this is the story of how Jobloads came about, and maybe it’s your story, too.

I’m Candice Pardy, the Founder of Jobloads. People often ask me why I started Jobloads, curious about the journey behind the platform. Let me take you through it.

Originally, I was working as a retail merchant in Sydney and Auckland with a successful career. But I felt a pull to return to my roots in Gisborne, so I bought a persimmon orchard. My plan was to manage operations smoothly, support our site manager, and outsource additional work to a contracting team.

Then harvest season hit—and chaos followed.

Finding contractors, verifying compliance, coordinating logistics, inducting workers—it was overwhelming. We were so caught up in admin that we lost focus on the most important thing: the work itself.

The result? A costly wake-up call. Despite months of hard work, much of our fruit wasn’t fit for market.

I knew there had to be a better way—not just for me, but for any business relying on contracted workers.
